New Gymnastics Trainingcenter next to Prag Castle

17 June 2019

In close vicinity, next to Prague Castle, a training center for and Artistics Gymnastics and TeamGym was created.

In collaboration with a local construction company, SPIETH Gymnastics has realized this 400m² gym. It started from the very beginning with first architectural drawings and ended with the final installation of the different apparatuses and areas in order to fulfill the requirements of the local club and owner of the gym, SK Hradkany. It took 3 SPIETH technicians and 3 weeks on site to create this new training facility.

Three big foam pits mark the gym’s purpose as a pure gymnastics training facility. The pits enable the athletes and coaches to learn and train new elements and landings with as little risk as possible on eleven apparatuses. The big customized gymnastics floor with 14x18m size is the core of the gym and all other apparatuses are aligned around it.

One priority during the development of the gym concept was to avoid different floor levels and to build the largest possible training area for the athletes. To ensure this, the structural concrete floor was already created with four different height levels.

90% of the floor area is now leveled to +20cm height including all mats and apparatuses. For all users of this gym is therefore created the highest possible space for training and they can focus on their routines and exercises during training even more.

The basis for a successful realization of such a big project is the effective coordination of all involved parties during the whole process. The training center of the local club “SK Hradcany” is a great example for a successful collaboration between all participants and undermines the status of SPIETH Gymnastics GmbH as one of the leading brands and creators of high level training facilities in Gymnastics.
